Winding Waterfall above Buttermere - Landscape Photo

I captured this photograph of a winding waterfall on the mountainside above Buttermere in the Lake District, Cumbria. White water cascades down through rugged rocks, framed by vibrant trees and moss-covered stone. It was one of those perfect Lake District moments — alive with movement, colour, and light.

Buttermere has always been one of my favourite places to photograph. The contrast between the still waters below and the dramatic fells above makes it endlessly inspiring. I was drawn to the way this waterfall threads through the landscape, carving its own path down the mountain.

For me, this image captures the spirit of the Lake District — wild yet peaceful, powerful yet calming. It’s a reminder of the beauty that flows through this part of Cumbria and why I return here time and time again with my camera.
