This landscape photo looking toward Crummock Water was taken near Mosser in the north-west Lake District. It’s a view that perfectly captures what I love most about Cumbria — patchwork green fields edged by hedgerows and small trees, peaceful water, and mountains rising into a bright blue sky brushed with white cloud.
The day was calm and the air was still, and the light brought out the rich patchwork of the fields and fells surrounding Buttermere. It’s one of those timeless Lake District views.
This image is one of my favourite Lake District travel photographs — a peaceful landscape that reflects the balance of beauty, light, and serenity that makes this part of England so special.
